EA making SKATE 2 for the PS3

During an announcement regarding 'SKATE It', which is coming out for Nintendo platforms, EA have confirmed that SKATE 2 will be making its way onto the PS3 and Xbox 360.

No other details have become available yet, but this is certainly welcome news.

We had previously commented on 'the skating wars' and how EA's game was giving Tony Hawk a run for his money. There's no doubt that the lean towards realism and a new control mechanism made SKATE a popular title last year.
