PlayTV arrives on September 10th; confirmed

David Reeves, in an interview with Eurogamer, has confirmed that the UK launch of PlayTV will happen on September 10th.

The twin-tuner PVR solution will roll out in other territories across Europe between September and December. Australia and New Zealand are slated for a January/February 2009 launch when those countries have set their final DTT broadcast standards.

Reeves also confirmed that PlayTV will record whilst you play games, and that the 2.41 firmware included the code necessary to use PlayTV. If your PS3 is up-to-date, you theoretically have everything you need to use the TV add-on.

PlayTV will be priced at £79/€99.
