A Demo by any other name, Part 1
Have you noticed something funky with certain demos as of late? Some do not say "Demo" or "Trial Version" in their name as they should. This effectively gives the impression to the unsuspecting PSN buddies in your list that a full version game is being played instead of a demo.
Recent culprits include but are not limited to:
(these are the names shown in your PSN now playing status)
- Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
- Bionic Commando: Rearmed
- 1942: Joint Strike
- LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures
- Hail to the Chimp
- Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3
I was going to amuse both you and I with a cleverly written rant, complete with conspiracy theories and a stern finger pointed at SCEA and all game makers involved. But because it's late at night (or early in the morning) and I need my beauty sleep, I'll just kindly ask: "What gives?"
I'll leave it to you (for now) to speculate how deep this rabbit hole really goes. I will return with an in-depth look in the near future.
