The PlayStation Video Store first came to our attention back at E3 2008, when it was simultaneously announced and launched during the Sony press conference.

It took until November 2009 for the Video Store to hit European shores, so we decided to take it for a little more than the usual test drive and see if we could live on just the Video Store for our movie viewing needs for a month.

Here’s the story of what happened…

And now, things are about to look a little bleaker.

EU Video Content Update for February 6th – Guns and naughtiness

This weeks EU video content update is somewhat lacking in terms of quantity but hey, if you want to see Jesse Eisenberg aka Michael Cera 2.0 then Adventureland is for you.

There are also two new collections available on the store; The Gangster Collection and Naughty Valentines. While the gangster one is self explanatory, Naughty Valentines includes films like Cruel Intentions, School of Seduction and Fatal Attraction.

Dante’s Inferno already patched

As part of a worrying trend, last week Dante’s Inferno joined the increasingly long list of games that have had a patch on the first day of release. The 1.01 patch was apparently already live last Thursday for the Australian release of the game, and lo and behold, was there when we fired up the game on Friday, so US gamers will have it to look forward to tomorrow.

Weighing in at 21MB, it is still unclear exactly what the patch does. Trophies? DLC? Bug fixes? At the moment your guess is as good as ours, but regardless of the reason for it, it is still not a particularly good indication of where things currently are in the industry.

Capcom are ready to make 3D games

Capcom are satisfied that they have the technology in place to make 3D games. However, they will be undergoing research before deciding which of their franchises will be launching out of our screens.

Should we dread current titles being resold at a premium price with 3D technology shoehorned in, or can we look forward to new titles being developed that will maximise the benefits which 3D can offer?

MAG Monday week 1 – “From a little spark may burst a flame”

Welcome to the inaugural edition of ‘MAG Monday’. Team Attitude are big fans of Zipper Interactive’s latest game – MAG. However, there are a suspicious amount of very similar reviews out there which always seem to end up with a 70% mark at the end. Can an ever evolving online game be reviewed after just a few hours? We think not.

DolphGB, Brodiesan and Folken24 will each be making weekly reports from the battlefield – comparing likes, dislikes and anything humorous that may have occurred. This will hopefully give you a flavour of what the game is all about.
