Capcom has revealed another DmC: Devil May Cry trailer which is packed with action, towering monsters and insights about Dante’s childhood.

The witty, confident and self-assured Dante stays true to character even when he is mercilessly outnumbered by demons.

This is a tough generation for Japanese devs working on PS3 with sales and enthusiasm for their products down well below normal and healthy levels.

The UK PS3 game sales charts for 2011 (compiled by GFK Chart-Track) featured no games in the top 10 from Japan. The list was instead dominated by American, Australian, Canadian and European studios. In addition, Japanese devs barely figured in the top 100 multiplatform charts too, excluding the always prolific Nintendo devs.

It may not be new per se but Resident Evil 4 HD’s release this week means that gamers who missed the outstanding survival horror trek the first time out get the chance to experience the game largely considered to be the high water mark of the franchise.

NIS America today announced two new PS3 titles at a special Tokyo Game Show launch event, including a new IP from Tenchu developer Acquire called Clan of Champions and a sequel to Hyperdimension Neptunia. Both are slated for a spring 2012 release.

You may not be familiar with any of the fighters in Supremacy MMA. It certainly has fewer stars than UFC Undisputed, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t care about these guys.

Supremacy MMA’s tagline reads “every fighter has a story”. The developer Kung Fu Factory shows this by having a story mode that actually explores the histories and personalities of the fighters, and looks to find out why they fight. Respect is also shown to their fighting styles.

At this year’s E3, 46,800 industry professionals, journalists, retailers and analysts arrived in LA to experience the videogame industry’s biggest event of the year, and with over 200 exhibitors promoting their latest games and hardware, this year was arguably the biggest ever.

We cannot offer you a complete guide to E3 2011 (that would require writing a book), but we can give you this neat list featuring 10 thing that caught our attention during this year’s show. We had great games and impressive hardware on show and a lot of stuff happening in-between. Enjoy.

UTV Ignition Entertainment has announced that they have completed development on their upcoming biblical epic, El Shadai: Ascension of the Metatron. In addition, the company has revealed an April 28th launch date in Japan, with news of a European and North American release date coming soon.

At this point you may be wondering what is El Shaddai? Allow us to give you a little background on the game, after all, it was one of our titles to look out for in 2011…

It’s that time again! Time for the North American PlayStation Store Update! While the update itself is pretty large, it’s a few of the games and demos released this week that really make it such an awesome addition.

For starters, there’s Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 and Dead Space Ignition. As if those games aren’t appealing enough, there’s a demo for both of them, meaning that if you’re not traditionally a Sonic or Dead Space fan, you can still get in on the action without it costing you anything.

Speaking of demos, there’s also one for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, just in case you want to see what it’s like on the dark side. Outside of that there’s also a special section with all kinds Halloween-themed games, themes, avatars and DLC.

It’s time once again for the European PlayStation Store Update. This update is a tad disappointing when compared to previous iterations but the way we look at, you wouldn’t know what a good update was unless you had a bad one now and then, right?

Calling this a bad update is really the wrong choice of words, anyway. You’ve got Ferrari: The Race Challenge to look forward to, as well as a full one hour trial if you’re a Plus subscriber. Also new for Plus subscribers is Street Fighter HD Remix and the PSone classic, Kula World. If neither of those are blowing your skirt up, you’ve also got two Mini’s to choose from – Aero Racer and Yeti Sports.

Beyond that, there’s not a lot to be had. There is a demo for DJ Hero 2 and several intriguing game add-ons, so hopefully everyone will find something that wins them over. Click the link for the full list and be sure to let us know what you’re getting!

What’s that? Three fantastic European PS Store updates in a row? Surely not!

SCEE really seem to have stepped up recently with both PlayStation Plus and the weekly Store updates, with a whole range of content available.

There’s two new games this week, namely the much-better-than-expected Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, and TerRover, the brand new game from the guys at Creat. They’re joined by DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue, which is released as a standalone game today after last week’s bundle offer.

Also available this week are three new minis, demos for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, EA Sports MMA, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, My Sims: Sky Heroes, TerRover and WRC FIA World Rally Championship, as well as DLC for the likes of Borderlands, FIFA 11 and Mafia II, and much, much more.
