The North American PlayStation Store has officially been refreshed.
Each week, PS3 Attitude shares the games and content new to PS3, Vita, and sometimes PSP. Full PS3 disc-based games become digital downloads, new PSN titles rise up, indie games make their mark, and PlayStation Mobile games blaze a new trail.
Introducing a new weekly feature, in which PS3 Attitude takes an irreverent* look at the world of gaming. Today we’re discussing five sequels that, if we had our way, would never have seen the light of day; although, in a way we’re glad they did, because otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to write this article.
*At least 37% of the following is probably incorrect.
Nothing warms the heart of a young child quite like a stocking full of gifts on Christmas morning. That’s why this year the PlayStation Store is making it easier than ever to purchase some great games for your loved ones. Sit back and enjoy the sight as they pull the strips of paper you used to scrawl the download code on from their otherwise deflated gift sock.
This week PAL territories receive a very timely Halloween themed sale. In it you’ll find the likes of Limbo and the Prince of Persia trilogy so it’s definitely worth taking a look at.
Other highlights include inFamous: Festival of Blood and PixelJunk Sidescroller. Take a look you just might find something for yourself.
The update this week not only brings us a bunch of very enticing discounts, five new games are also hitting the store including the long-awaited Limbo.
We’ve got a good one this week folks, check it out.
No new games this week people. Disappointing as that is there is a really nice Summer Sale currently running to draw your attention. So if you haven’t downloaded PixelJunk Shooter 2 or PacMan Championship Edition DX this is the time.
This week’s update is rather substantial. There’s a treasure trove of discounted downloadable content to pick through as well as a healthy does of brand-new content.
Time’s a wastin’ readers. Take a look.
Summer has officially begun PS3 Attitude fans. Time to cut off the bottom halves of your pants and jump in a lake. In accordance with the seasonal change EA is offering shimmering content discounts for three of its titles. 3 on 3 NHL Arcade is a fantastic way to melt away an afternoon with two friends.
As for the rest of the update, well, if you were to say that this wasn’t the strongest selection of content ever to his the PSN we wouldn’t disagree.
E3 is now officially in full swing after that storming EA conference. How can Ubisoft possibly compete with that? It may not be possible, but they’re going to give it their best shot.
This is somewhat of a unique week for the PlayStation Store in that the content of the update pales in comparison to the fact there is an update to speak of.
The ‘Welcome Back’ initiative is not yet active yet so don’t go looking for your free games just yet. Enough talk, head on in and check it out.
We hope you have some spare cash lying around, because you’ll probably want some for this mammoth update. This week sees the PSN releases of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within HD, Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones HD, Sackboy’s Prehistoric Moves, and (assuming you’ve got money to burn) Prototype.
There’s also five new minis, a Move demo for Planet Minigolf, and shed loads of downloadable add-ons, including content for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, DJ Hero 2, Mushroom Wars, Rock Band 3, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.
PlayStation Plus subscribers also have some more free treats to download again this week. This new batch of content comes in the form of a Full Game Trial of Prototype, the Turbo! add-on pack for LittleBigPlanet PSP, and exclusive access to the DC Universe Online beta (which, by the way you might want to free up some space for).
So, what will you be downloading today?
We’re a little late with today’s European Store update, as it actually updated this morning. Don’t get used to it though, it’s just an early Christmas present from SCEE.
This week’s content includes Alien Breed 2: Assault, Kung-Fu LIVE!, and a PSN release of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2, as well as the usual DLC, minis, demos, themes and avatars.
PlayStation Plus subscribers also get a few free goodies this week, in the form of some Hustle Kings and Dead Nation avatars, and more importantly, the co-operative PS Move game, Sackboy’s Prehistoric Moves (releasing on the Store next week for everyone else).
So, is there anything that Sony can tempt you with today?

It’s been a while since we checked out what is going on in Hong Kong. heh, that kind of rhymes. Since The Hong Kong PS Store is usually light in content (only often), we have decided just to give you the highlights so you don’t miss anything worth checking out for us English speaking folk.
An English version of topatoi is hovering around Hong Kong, could that mean that a North American version could soon follow? Not necessarily, taken into consideration the vague official ‘fall release date’ and the fact that it technically isn’t fall yet. You can also grab three topatoi wallpapers to make the waiting a bit more palatable.
It’s been a while since we have seen so many freakin’ add-ons in a PlayStation Store update. It’s like EA went on another mindless money grubbing add-on blitz. Oh wait, they did. But this time Madden NFL 10 is the culprit.
But all is not nonsense, Marvel vs Capcom 2 is finally on the PlayStation Network and the demo made it too. So did Droplitz (the game) and Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (the demo).
