We are, and Ubisoft invited us to join in the fun at a preview event last week. We’ll have a full write up of our hands-on with EndWar and its voice control system later this week, but in the meantime you might like to know more about the factions and how their various weapons and upgrades stack up.

Each faction has a range of units from riflemen to engineers, transporters to tanks. Here we list a few of the highlights and the number of credits you’ll need to earn to gain every upgrade for each unit.

Enforcer Corps

The Enforcer Corps consists of Kommandos, Grenadiers, the AMZ-26 Badger transporter, Panther 1A3 tank, PAH-6 Cheetah gunship, AMZ Marksman artillery and the LV-20 Charlemagne command vehicle.

What upgrades caught our attention?

We love the idea of a Squad Taser for the Grenadiers, but we’re really pumped up by the tank and gunship options. Thermal Shroud, Electro-Reactive Armor, Area Effect Missile and E-Warfare Suite all sound great.

How much will you need?

To upgrade every available Attack, Defense, Mobility and Ability slot for all your Enforcer Corps units will set you back 62,400,000 Credits

Joint Strike Force

The Joint Strike Force consists of Ghosts, Pioneers, the M118 Fastback transporter, M5A2 Schwarzkopf tank, AH-80 Blackfoot gunship, M320 Spartan artillery and the C1As Archon command vehicle.

What upgrades caught our attention?

Ghosts can gain a Nano-Composite Personal Armor defense that sounds as hard as it is, whilst you can gain some serious firepower for your powered units. HE Rockets, Iron Dagger Projectile System, Bunker Buster Shell, Thermobaric Warhead and Excalibur Guided Rounds will all do the ‘business’.

How much will you need?

To upgrade every available Attack, Defense, Mobility and Ability slot for all your JSF units will set you back 56,300,000 Credits

Spetsnaz Guard Brigade

The Spetsnaz consists of Wolves, Bears, the BTR-112 Cockroach transporter, T-100 Ogre tank, Ka-56 Howler gunship, KV-20 Zhukov artillery and the MAZ-660 King Spider command vehicle.

What upgrades caught our attention?

These guys may not have sophistication, but they do have raw power. You’ll love the Flamethrower and Anti-Tank Grenades your engineers can wield, but the real ‘shock and awe’ come from the Rocket Barrage, ARENA Active Defense, Tandem Warhead and Sensor Fused Bomblet upgrades.

How much will you need?

To upgrade every available Attack, Defense, Mobility and Ability slot for all your Spetsnaz units will set you back 67,700,000 Credits

Conclusion

If you want to upgrade all three factions to their ultimate level it will therefore set you back 186,400,000 Credits.

In our experience you will gain around 300-600k Credits per game, with more available as you get to grips with the strategy required to win at EndWar, so expect to play a lot of games before your faction is fully kitted out.

Check back later in the week for our preview and hands-on impressions.
