Welcome back. You're a regular here, so why not follow us on Twitter too...

ps3 home e31 300x227 Home closed beta only for full Qore subscribersSome of you may have already seen the email sent by the PlayStation Underground, but for those that may not be on this list and were thinking of purchasing the sixth episode of Qore to gain access to the closed Home beta, think again.

The aforementioned email apologises for a miscommunication sent on the 24th of October where it stated entry to Sony’s mystical and magical land of Home would be available to Qore annual subscribers and frugal purchasers of just the latest episode. Not so.

The email nullifies the earlier promise by stating:

As an update to the PLAYSTATION(R)3 News email sent on Friday,
October 24th, the special invitation to PlayStation(R)Home’s closed
beta is available only to Qore annual subscribers who purchased
subscriptions by 10/29. Qore Episode 06 purchasers will not be
eligible for the special PlayStation(R)Home beta invitation at
this time. We apologize for the miscommunication.

We’re not sure what the cause of the correction might be. Maybe annual subscribers were not too pleased that late-comers were also getting something so lucrative and sought after.  Maybe they had concerns over server capacity but surely at this late stage in the process getting as many people on to the Home service concurrently would be a good thing in an effort to test robustness.
