Our friends over at GameZine sent us a little tip last night. They uncovered a listing for a game called National Geographic: Africa.

This new title was touted as ‘being developed by Sony for National Geographic’s new range of game titles’, so it seemed like a fairly safe bet that the previously Japan-only title, Afrika, was being re-badged for US audiences.

Now Sony have confirmed that this is, indeed, the Afrika we know and love.

We expect the ‘wiki’ area in the game has been completely reworked to include National Geographic’s own content, since the game wouldn’t do too well over in the US if everyone had to learn Japanese.
