Bionic Commando Studio “Terminated”
Thought that headline might catch your attention.
No, developer GRIN has not just been “Ensembled“. On the contrary, the Swedish based studio are actually going from strength to titanium strength as they have been announced by Warner Bros. as the developer working on the upcoming movie tie-in Terminator: Salvation game.
Considering the film hits next Summer we can only assume (hope!) it’s been in development for some time. Of course, it wouldn’t be the first time a game gets released months after the movie it’s attempting to ride the coat-tails of.
Designed as a third-person shooter, “The player will be led through a visceral story with extremely polished production values to create a fully interactive Terminator experience.†We do like polish, it has to be said.
The announcement goes on to mention: “Terminator Salvation – The Videogame allows players to battle for survival against Skynet enemies utilizing an incredibly fluid and realistic control set.â€
How fluid? Can we jump in to a Hunter, overcome a T-800, remove its chip and then re-program it to be our metallic buddy so we can go on a cyborg crunching rampage together? Probably not. But we’re confident the explosions will be nice.
