Burnout Paradise Welcomes You To Big Surf Island
Welcome back. You're a regular here, so why not follow us on Twitter too...
Another Friday, another Burnout Paradise DLC announcement. Criterion Games have revealed yet another addition to Paradise City, and they have certainly left the best for last.
Welcome to Big Surf Island.
This the may be the biggest DLC of them all, the long rumored (and long awaited) island expansion features more jumps and acrobatics than you previously thought possible; even for a Burnout game. Although this bad boy was previously announced as free downloadable content, now it is officially premium paid-for content. A bummer, but the Burnout Paradise team makes a convincing argument for the switch:
We never expected to create anything this ambitious for the island…Big Surf is the culmination of everything we learned creating Paradise City, and we want it to bring you a truly spectacular new experience– the highlight of a year of incredible premium content.
Given the excellent track record of Criterion Games, PS3 Attitude agrees.
Also worthy of mention is the addition of a new car, the Dust Storm, available at the same time the island goes on sale. There you have it folks, all the Burnout Paradise 2009 DLC revealed. Be sure to check out our previous coverage of Burnout’s 2009 premium DLC:
