Capcom’s Own Storefront Coming This Week
Capcom and Sony sitting on a tree, S-E-L-L-I-N-G (games).Â That’s the tune some of us will be singing this Thursday (or maybe just me), when the new Capcom storefront is debuted in the PlayStation Store along with Capcom’s brand new game Age of Booty.
All of Capcom’s content will be available through this one ‘Department’ in the PlayStation ‘Store’ (see what they did there?), your one stop shop for all things Capcom if you will.
Capcom has been good to Sony and the PlayStation Network in particular, releasing many downloadable games and content through Sony’s free online network.Â Such games range from the good (MegaMan 9, Bionic Commando: Rearmed) to the not-so good (Rocketmen: Axis of Evil).
This new storefront came as a collaboration from the two companies, and it may create a precedent for other publishers to follow suit.Â Also, some exclusive content coming “in the future” was hinted (promised?) at the PlayStation Blog.Â Could this exclusive content be a direct result from the new Capcom Storefront?Â Quite possibly.Â With Sony losing exclusives left and right, it is no surprise they might be employing some out of the box tactics to gain more attention from developers.
