LittleBigPlanet to import images by Christmas

Submitted by on Saturday, 1 November 200829 Comments

littlebigplanet 2 300x225 LittleBigPlanet to import images by ChristmasTalking at GameCity in Nottingham today, Alex Evans was asked about the lack of image import in LittleBigPlanet.

The news? He confirmed that this was only pulled from the release of the game because of time constraints, and that the image import tool would be released by Christmas.

For those (many) people that were upset to hear that the PlayStation Eye was going to be the only image import option this will indeed be (completely non-religious) music to their ears.

We’ll have more news from GameCity soon, so keep checking back.

As Reesimo said the quality of imported pictures will be much better than what the PSEye can take. @ magnuw - only a few more days to go. Hang in there :-)

It is delayed untill the 7. here :( :( :( :(

Awesome! I was very disapointed when they said PS Eye only. Even though, I have one, the picture quality isn't as great as a JPEG off of the HD. Now if I could just get this damned sticker switch to act right...

That is cool, i cannot wait untill the 5.

It was only a matter of time. I fully expect MM to innovate and release new and wondrous ways of supporting this monumental game. Images, sounds, new mechanics to help make user-generated levels even more interactive - the sky is the limit.

This will be cool! All the wallpapers that are released on the psn will definately be getting put on the background of some of my levels! Also it means you'll be able to take pics with your camera for your levels which will open up a whole new world of customisation in level creations!

5th November can't come quick enough!
