Another thursday, another PSN update, another good one in my opinion actually. We get 2 demos Alone in the Dark and puzzling enough…Metal Gear Solid 4, seems a bit overdue.
No PSN games this week but …
We at PS3 Attitude just received a press release from SEGA stating that they intend to release a collection of some of the greatest games from the SEGA Megadrive library. The collection will include a whopping 40 games, some of which are the true greats from the days of the Megadrive. The collection is due to be released in early 2009.
The game is out, we’re all in love but the party hasn’t stopped there. Check out some costume details, how Alex Evans first envisioned the game and the first couple of European TV ads.
Yesterday, we informed you about the release dates of Capcom’s upcoming titles. Today, we are here to let you know how confident the lads at Capcom are about their future releases. And why shouldn’t they be? Street Fighter IV has made us super duper anxious and so has – maybe even more – Resident Evil 5!
But, let’s see what Capcom thinks about their games. For starters, Street Fighter IV is expected to sell 1.7 million copies, with Bionic Commando following with 1.5 million copies. Resident Evil 5 is targeting…. Wait; WHAT?!? Bionic Commando to sell 1.5 million copies? Now, that’s positive thinking…
At around 18:00 EST yesterday SCEA sent out a raft of Killzone 2 beta invites to a slew of lucky PlayStation Network users, which included some of your friendly neighbourhood team members at PS3 Attitude.

Through visuals and audio, programmers must be able to make enemies appear intelligent to provide a better gaming experience to you, the player. We present the new look Riddick from upcoming Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. With Atari now publishing we’re optimistic the cult classic update along with a complete new chapter will make fans of the all-round bad-ass happy.

A new firmware turned up this morning, and on the face of it the update doesn’t appear to do much. But is the update related to LittleBigPlanet in some way?
[sfiv] It seems that the first quarter of 2009 is going to be an extremely active period for Capcom, since a great number of their creations is going to be thrown at the battle.
Starting from the most anticipated Street Fighter IV, Capcom announced – by telling MCV – that the game is going to hit the stores on February 20th, 2009.
The folks at Konami were very pleased to announce that Metal Gear Online is doing quite well, with more than one million users now kicking it online.
MGO made its appearance last June, taking the world by surprise. No one expected it to be that good! Konami, in an attempt to say thanks to all the loyal users, announced that a special campaign will be taking place in the near future.

LittleBigPlanet is almost here in the UK. The game has already been in widespread use through 100,000 beta testers and the release of the title in the US, so when you do unwrap your copy on the 5th you’ll be treated to a raft of great levels.
