X-Blades; fanart competition winners announced

You remember X-Blades, don’t you?
The ‘Nariko-alike’ lead character in the game, Ayumi, has recently been given a wash and brush up by a number of fans around the world. Southpeak Games ran a competition asking for ‘fanart’ of their new queen of hack-n-slash, and received a huge number of high-quality entries.
We’ve featured the top three pictures below (in our own unique way), but don’t forget to hop over to the official X-Blades site to see all the winning entries.
3,000, 2,000 and 1,000 Dollars were awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively. First place goes to Konrad Beiskammer from Austria followed by Toshinori Kihara from Japan and Jasmine Kong from Canada. All the winning entries will be featured in an art book that will appear with the game’s special edition packaging.

Odd choice of name for the protagonist, considering “ayumi” can mean “walking” in Japanese. Maybe I’m missing something …
