DC Universe Online Coming Along Nicely
Welcome back. You're a regular here, so why not follow us on Twitter too...
As you may know, Sony Online Entertainment’s DC Universe Online is coming to a PS3 and PC near you. MTV News was able to talk with Geoff Johns about writing the DC Universe Online story.
How far along is the story? Will we only get acquainted with big name heroes like Superman and Batman?
We will indeed fly alongside the Man Of Steel, fight beside the Dark Knight and zip around the city next to the Fastest Man Alive. But that is not all, this MMORPG also gives us the chance to meet some lesser known heroes like the Doom Patrol and the Metal Men. Relax, I have no friggin’ clue who they are either. The point is that DCU is the perfect vehicle for fans to dig deeper into the rich DC universe.
As far as the story goes it’s pretty much done. Every line of dialogue is yet to be written but come on, this is a MMORPG. There are just tons of dialogue here that has to please not only for die hard MMORPG fans but also die hard comic book fans. It takes time to get that stuff just right.
DC Universe Online is launching late 2009 (or early 2010 depending on who knows what).

I just can’t forget the footage that was shown at E3. It was … not good.
I want to be The Joker’s bestest buddy in the DC Universe…only if Mark Hamill reprises his role. But if reports of him being attached to the upcoming Arkham Asylum game are true, the chances of him being in DCU are rather slim.
