David Reeves talks to Eurogamer
SCEEÂ president David Reeves has been speaking to Eurogamer about all things PS3.
The discussion includes hardware sales, price cuts and why he thinks the PS3 will always remain the most expensive console on the market. In addition, he revealed there may be a couple of titles formally announced within four to six weeks.
Furthermore, when asked whether Sony will cut the price of the PS3 this year, he responded:
As the cost of manufacturing comes down, we will look at it, as we’ve looked at it in the past. I’m not going to say we’re going to do anything short term or anything long term on the price. At the moment, we have a value-added strategy.
Don’t know about you but I would be very surprised if Sony don’t cut the price by at least £50 in the UK and $100/€100 in the US and EU this year.
