Home invasion – EA and RedBull content news

ea complex 300x168 Home invasion EA and RedBull content newsIt’s the new year and, as is the usual tradition, you are probably thinking about getting your bloated chocolate-embalmed body to a gym in order to shed a few pounds.

Why bother? EA have come to the rescue and announced that a new Sports Complex experience will be coming our way in Home this Spring for all of us to dance and Quincy to.

Check after the jumping-jack for more details.

In fairness, you won’t be able to lose any virtual weight in the new tailored area as the location is more for hanging out and talking with like minded people, admiring leader-boards and watching content. So, just like a real gym then!

Peter Moore, President of EA, announced:

Gamers will be able to play exclusive new EA SPORTS multi-player games, meet and interact with EA SPORTS fans, view daily, weekly and annual leader-boards to see how they compare against the rest of EA SPORTS Nation, as well as watch trailers and other content from some of their favorite EA SPORTS games.

A trailer has also been release and the eagle-eyed of you out there will notice that the new area offers Homers the ability to play poker against fellow avatars, a golf game and what looks to be a simplistic go-kart/racing game. All we care about is the poker to be honest.

They Moved the Island!

In other Home news, it appears that the fabled RedBull Island has now mysteriously appeared out of the hazy ether. Caffeine and sleep-deprivation fans can now fly around the course and enjoy all the copious product placement. We’re not complaining. How else are they going to pay for this behemoth?

The leader-boards are not activated at the moment but we’re assured this feature will be live soon.
