noby noby boy 016 Noby Noby Boy gets priced and datedLast December, we informed you about Keita Takahashi’s latest creation, Noby Noby Boy. Back then, Namco assured us that this original PSN game would be released in early 2009. As it seems, they kept their word.

Noby Noby Boy will be visiting the European PS Store on February 19th for a price of just 3.99€. Without a doubt, a great price for a game that has so much to offer. You see, it falls under the category of creative games.

Using their imagination, players will have the chance to create something original every time they play. In the game, there are two main characters; BOY and GIRL. When you play as BOY, you have the ability to eat and spit out nearly everything,  in order to gain length. Players can control BOY’s front and tail using the two analog sticks.

The other character, GIRL, is actually a unique feature. As you stretch BOY in your offline stages, the lengths to which BOY grows are uploaded to a persistent character known as GIRL, who grows at the same rate of all the players in the world. GIRL’s starting point is Earth, while the multiple planets of the solar system are her goal. When GIRL reaches a new milestone in the solar system, these areas are unlocked as playable stages in the game for everyone around the world.

Noby Noby Boy will also allow players to record video footage as they play and upload it directly to YouTube. Now how awesome is that?

Lastly, another set of screenshots were made available yesterday and – as always – we are here to pass them to you.

So, does all of the above sound worthy of your four euro? Let us know by leaving a comment.
