Team PlayStation Wants You! In Las Vegas Playing Street Fighter IV

Submitted by on Tuesday, 6 January 20092 Comments

i-want-youAre you 18 or older?  Will you be in Las Vegas this Saturday January 10th? Are you any good at Street Fighter?  Are you related to Daigo?

If you answered ‘yes’ to the first three questions then you should write your name, PSN ID and why you think you should have a chance to compete for Team PlayStation at

However, if you answered yes to the last question then I may have a business proposition for you (wink, wink).

I’ll let your fearless Team PlayStation leader Jeff Rubenstein fill in the details:

Here’s how it works: We’ll hold a tournament on the PLAYSTATION 3 version of Street Fighter IV to determine the best PlayStation player. This fantastic and charismatic individual will be awarded a Collector’s Edition Street Fighter IV, before taking on the Microsoft winner. This person will then be victorious, because they’re just that special. Capiche?

This friendly Sony vs. Microsoft Street Fighter IV slugfest (is there such a thing as a friendly slugfest?) will be one of this year’s CES highlights.  But that is not all, here comes a new challenger!  Capcom joins to make this a 3-way showdown.  Allegiances will be put to the test, will you fight for Team PlayStation or for Team Capcom?

Besides the awesome Street Fighter IV Collector’s Edition awarded to the best Team PlayStation fighter, the second best incentive is bragging rights after beating the Capcom and Microsoft champs to a bloody pulp.  The best incentive however is to avoid the ridicule and online shunning the loser will receive; remember that you have to mail in your PSN ID to represent Team PlayStation.

With the PlayStation, Capcom and Microsoft blogs covering the event I’m sure that information should not be too hard to obtain.  Win or join the circus (du Soleil) are your two choices, you will never hear the end of it from your PS3 brethren or your Microsoft or Capcom chastisers.
