American McGee’s Alice Coming to PS3

Submitted by on Thursday, 19 February 20094 Comments

This can't end wellReleased back in 2000 for the PC, American McGee’s Alice was a 3rd person perspective action title featuring Alice of “Wonderland” fame as a more cynical (and somewhat bloodthirsty) version of her more well-known kid-friendly self.

It seems that Alice is the perfect poster-child for these dark and dismal economic times with the announcement today that a new chapter based on EA’s classic is in the works at Spicy Horse Games.

Click on the link above to go further down the rabbit hole.

The game sees McGee re-teaming with EA as the senior creative director at Spicy Horse with the enigmatic designer stating:

“This new project is a dream come true for me and the fans who’ve kept the Alice flame alive. EA gave us creative latitude and support on the original game which resulted in something beautiful and daring. This trip through the looking glass promises to be even more exciting.”

The game will be multi-platform and we wish the guys at Spicy Horse the best; especially when you consider that the last studio who tried to port an Alice game to a Sony console experienced the unfortunate fate of shutting down.

Are you looking forward to more Alice? Le us know in the comments below.
