The sequel to the highly popular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has just been confirmed.

Announced as part Activision’s forth quarter earnings call for 2009, Modern Warfare 2 is sure to impress. While we have no details on what Infinity Ward is up to this time around, an executive from the company stated that the game will be the most anticipated for the end of 2009.

We all know how amazing Modern Warfare is. Its multiple awards and high score speak for themselves. Now if this were any other game from any other company we might be a little hesitant to believe such a boastful claim but as it’s Infinity Ward, we’re actually getting real excited just thinking about it.
