There is one thing to be thankful for during these economically turbulent times – non first-party studio titles previously aligned with other platforms are now flirting with other options and going multi-plat.

With EA’s John Riccitiello saying that Mass Effect 2 would be available on “multiple platforms” and Left 4 Dead becoming the veritable “Ross and Rachel” of gaming (it’s on, it’s off, it’s on again, it’s definitely off this time) it’s another zombie franchise that has crossed party lines first with D+Pad Magazine announcing that Dead Rising 2 is heading our way.

The first Dead Rising was an early 360 title enjoyed by many for its copious body-count and never-ending zombie fodder. The sequel takes places a couple of years after the events of the first game and is once again being handled by Capcom in conjunction with Canadian developer Blue Castle Games.
