Welcome back. You're a regular here, so why not follow us on Twitter too...

killzone2a Sony Reminds us of Blockbuster Exclusives and Killzone 2 in 4 DJust in case you forgot about all the giant blockbuster titles that Sony has in store for us this year, they’ve sent out a reminder. According to a press release sent out by SCEA:

“Kicking off the new line up, Killzone®2 is set to launch on February 27, 2009 and promises to be the industry’s first major gaming hit for 2009 as well as a key driver for PlayStation®3 (PS3â„¢)  hardware sales. Killzone 2 is the third installment of the popular PlayStation-exclusive franchise, and the first of the series to appear on PS3. Delivering a truly immersive experience only possible through PS3’s Blu-ray gaming potential, Killzone 2 is already generating wide-spread critical acclaim, earning an impressive Metacritic score of 92.”

“The game ushers in an unprecedented year of titles to hit the PlayStation platform throughout the year including the blockbuster exclusives Uncharted 2: Among Thievesâ„¢, inFamous, MAGâ„¢, Heavy Rain, God of War® III and MLB® 09 The Showâ„¢.”

What’s more interesting is the new Killzone 2 trailer that debuted on the official PlayStation.Blog. The TV spot was created entirely using only the power of the PS3 and we must say, it looks amazing. The trailer will hit the PSN Store in March and you will be able to control the camera and hear director commentary as well. It’ll be just like watching a movie!

One can’t help but be impressed by the sheer quality of the finished product. Guerilla have produced a masterpiece of software engineering.
When they first began to go all OU on us about light and textures I thought ‘what the hell are they going on about?”
Then the Gameplay videos, trailers and finally the Demo came into the public domain and it all started to make sense.
Add the hilariously ‘realistic’ AI. Sure, it’s better than other games, but the improvement has onloy raised the AI from ‘Moronic’ to ‘Are they stupid or what?”

Who gives a monkey’s about the awful hammy acting, really?
What game has Emmey, golden globe, Oscar level performances for Gawd’s sake?

I’d give it 9.5 out of 10 because nothing is perfect

  • I like your little review of Killzone 2 there turk.

I haven’t played anything other than the demo, but once i complete the demo I may be tempted to post up a review.Who wouldn’t?
