Burnout Paradise to get some 3D juice?

Submitted by on Sunday, 15 March 20093 Comments

20080208021525dy5cAt CES, Sony were demonstrating the power of 3D, and showing off its potential. One of the demos that they showed off was a 3D edition of popular racing game, Gran Turismo 5: Prologue.

Of course, everyone was impressed and at once wanted to know if this 3D feature would come to PS3 owners anytime soon. Unfortunately, no one knows, but in a recent episode of Qore, it was a different game that was getting some 3D treatment.

The host of the monthly SCEA show was playing Burnout Paradise and wearing 3D glasses!  She was clearly playing the title in the third-dimension, something which we haven’t seen before.

So do Criterion Games have something up their sleeves that they have been keeping secret for all this time? Criterion won’t confirm anything, however, it has got us at PS3 Attitude very excited about its potential release on the PlayStation 3.

We will be keeping our eyes and ears open for more details on 3D Burnout if they come. Obviously, if Burnout does go 3D, you will need a 3D TV which could be costly.
