Classic Call of Duty coming to PlayStation Network

Submitted by on Saturday, 28 March 2009No Comment

call_of_duty_box_artThe very first Call of Duty is making its way to the PlayStation Network, according to European rating authority, the PEGI.

The discovery was made by some forum members at NeoGAF, and it shows that the first game in the famous first-person shooter franchise will be ported over from its original PC format to run on the PS3 and Xbox.

There is no date to when the game will hit the PlayStation stores, but we would be surprised if it doesn’t come out significantly before Modern Warfare 2, which is also developed by Infinity Ward.

Apparently it contains violence! Who would have thought it...

We are looking forward when we get to hear more about the port from Activison or Infinity Ward.

It will be great to relive the first title in the franchise which was first released in 2003, while waiting for this year’s Call of Duty that is now just called Modern Warfare 2.
