Some of us are big fans of Formula One, however surprisingly we have not played a F1 racing game before. Maybe this will change as Codemasters are working on the next title which is due out later this year.

Just recently, they have been talking to MCVUK about their plans for the game. And what they say is quite interesting:

Our vision for F1 is about making it exciting again as a video game property. We can’t talk about how we will do that yet, but we have big plans that will not just be one huge game later this year, but a phased approach over a number of years.

This sounds like they will be releasing patches for the game over time instead of releasing a brand new title every year to keep up with the season. An interesting philosophy, one that will no doubt cost money from gamers’ pockets but that’s nothing new.
