Lead Designer of Killzone 2 Leaves Guerilla Games
Neil Alphonso, the lead designer for Killzone 2 has decided to leave Guerilla Games and will continue with Splash Damage.
Titles on Alphonso’s resume include Duke Nukem Forever and Splinter Cell in addition to the biggest game to hit the PlayStation 3. Paul Wedgwood, owner of Splash Damage, is extremely thrilled about Alphonso joining the company…
“I love Neil’s considerable focus on advancing our players’ experience, born-out by his refined design talent and stunning accumulation of knowledge while working on games such as Killzone 2 and Splinter Cell. He’s the perfect man to lead our team of really skilled level designers. I can’t wait for our fans to see what he and his team are working on.”
Well you know what Paul? You’re right, we also can’t wait to see what he is working on. According to gamesindustry.biz, Alphonso will start on a triple A game in development for Bethesda, publisher of Fallout 3. While we’re sad to see him leave Guerilla, we know he will be in good hands. We wish him the best of luck!
