New Ratchet & Clank game official; gets title – Updated

They promised to return and, courtesy of Sony’s French PR division, news has just hit the tubes that Ratchet and Clank will be back this fall in Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time.
Keeping up with the risque titles (Up Your Arsenal, Tools of Destruction, Quest for Booty, etc.), Insomniac have kept the innuendo theme going with the new name hinting at a space/time catastrophe but also, well, you know …
Details are thin on the ground other than confirming what we already knew thanks to the credit roll of the last PSN title – a fall release date. Also now known is that the story takes place a short time after the events of Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty.
Finally, the press release also reveals that the latest chapter in the lombax and robot saga sees Ratchet travelling through time to rescue a captured Clank. That would be the Crack then.

Updated: Our stellar friends over at The Sixth Axis have dropped us a note to say that the new game is a full Blu-ray title, not a PSN download akin to Quest for Booty.

I must say the level of output Insomniac is giving is impressive,considering how small they are in comparison to something like Ubisoft,EA or Activision.They always manage to deliver top games every year running so far.
