Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic coming April 9th

Submitted by on Sunday, 15 March 2009No Comment

Hai! YA! You probably know some of the history behind Rag Doll Kung Fu. While working at Lionhead, co-founder of Media Molecule Mark Healey started his pet project roping in help from numerous friends in the industry.

The initial game (sans Plastic Fists) was the first non-FPS to appear on Steam and is a cult favourite among the PC crowd.

PS3 fans will soon be able to experience the Kung Fu carnage for themselves with an updated version for the PS3 released through the PSN on April 9th.

A trailer awaits after the double-jump.

There is no way we can describe the footage below so we recommend just watching it for yourself and enjoying the mayhem and hilarity of clichéd Kung Fu themed characters kicking the crap out of each other.

Yes, there are LittleBigPlanet influences here (the windmill device for example and multiple characters flying about the same level are eerily familiar) but we believe there is just enough variety here to elevate this beyond its LBP connection.

If you look closely, you’ll also see that one of the custom characters in the trailer is our very own Sackboy himself.
