SCEE appoints merchandising company for PlayStation
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has appointed Target Entertainment to take the job of taking some of PlayStation’s biggest brands into consumer products.
Fancy a Sackboy teddy? How about a Ratchet and Clank pencil case? Or a Warhawk remote control plane?
Anything’s possible with this new partnership that will see gamers getting the opportunity to take their favourite PlayStation experiences into nearly every element of their lives – think Life with PlayStation.
Stephanie Freeman, SCEE’s licensing and peripherals manager states:
We really want our consumers to have the ability to interact with our brands and characters in ways other than just on screen. We feel Target Entertainment Group has the vibrancy and experience to help us do this successfully.
Sounds like a cool idea. Target’s Hellen Howells adds:
With a portfolio of fantastic games we will offer new and longer standing fans a range of products that will really add to their PlayStation experience.
We really want to hear your ideas on products you would love see inspired by franchises from the PlayStation Universe. Perhaps your ideas will inspire the busy guys at Target, and you will get to see them put into reality on store shelves! The possibilities are endless…
