Virtua Tennis 2009 – Court Games Ahoy!

Submitted by on Saturday, 18 April 2009One Comment

vt2009_pirate_wars_1Virtua Tennis 2009 is not your average tennis game. Sure you have your tennis pros, real life stadiums, single player, offline and online multi player, tournament and career modes.

But if the picture to your left is any indication, there’s something more. Something that includes pirates. But not the modern kind mind you; think eye patches, peg legs, parrots and rum. Lots of rum. We know what some of you are asking yourselves right now: Will there be ninjas too?*

Today is all about the new games you can play in any tennis court with only your racket, your ball and a ton of creativity and imagination from the SEGA crew. Highlights include playing pool, sinking pirate ships, counting numbers, going shopping, feeding wild animals and playing a Breakout/Tetris hybrid. Stop reading and start playing the video above to realize that what may sound ridiculous in print looks actually really fun to play.

Somalian tennis courts are so dangerous these days.

*No, sorry. The pirates wiped them out.
