Square Enix are pulling out some big E3 guns early. With billboards already up in the US citing FFXIII as being released next year and massive expectations for the announcements at the conference proper, Square Enix have got some serious work cut out for them in order to please the fans.
Hopefully the trailer for the relatively-new addition to the SE family, Nier, will not represent the high-point of the reveals. Not because it is bad or anything – moreso because we want more news. Bigger news. All the time
Once more it’s that time, when we take a look back over the past week in the PS3 Attitude twitterverse. From Brodie’s writing hat to the twitteriffic PSfree Attitude feature, we have been busy, busy bees.
As you may already know, PS3 Attitude will be next week in Los Angeles to cover E3 and to meet with readers and industry friends while sharing a few drinks and giving away cool prizes.
SEGA has shared with us a Bayonetta E3 trailer with more WTF moments than a WTF family vacation in WTF City, Kentucky (Population: WTF!?). If this game wasn’t on your radar before, we suspect you just got a major blip on your screen; either that or you got a text. Anyway, take a look at Bayonetta fighting just about everyone and everything in this E3 video.

You can’t wait for some more JRPG action in your PS3? In fact, neither can we after watching a sneak peek of Level-5’s White Knight Chronicles E3 trailer. It looks so…monumental. Were you expecting the ‘e’ word? Sorry, Phreaky owns the exclusive rights to that one; he won them in a hand of poker against Eidos. Don’t ask.
Our paperboy did not have a long run. In fact, he didn’t even make it out of that neighborhood before word spread and the authorities were involved.
Always the optimistic one, our bionic protagonist made the best of his house arrest by earning a proctologist degree by mail. They should really make background checks before mailing degrees all willy-nilly.
Yesterday we were at the global launch of the new Sony Ericsson AINO, the first mobile phone to include PS3 Remote Play technology.
We got a chance to get our hands on the device itself whilst at the event, and managed to capture some (shaky) video of the phone accessing the PS3. But what else does the AINO offer?
Are you surprised at the number one PSN movie of the week? Oh yes, we were too. Turns out that there is good reason behind that; Outlander got a limited theatrical release at the end of January 2009. Apparently it has earned a cult following since then.
You may also want to check out the new DC Comics channel, full of super hero goodness. Batman, Superman, Justice League, Watchmen; you name it. If it’s DC Comics, it’s there for your downloading pleasure.
We were almost ready to throw in the towel and concede update thursday sueriority to Europe, but no, here comes the North American PS Store. Be warned, it came out swinging.
Speaking at a press event in London tonight, Sony Ericsson have revealed the AINO, a multimedia phone that has the PS3 Remote Play feature built-in.
Sporting a touch screen, a slide-out keypad and a stereo Bluetooth headset, the AINO is one of three new phones that fit into Sony Ericsson’s new ‘Communication Entertainment’ strategy.
Although we may have been expecting the PlayStation.Blog.Europe arrival, we certainly didn’t expect this European Store update to be so great.
The first update under Europe’s own shiny new PS Blog is one for the ages, everything but the kitchen sink was thrown in here. We expect the ‘kitchen sink’ to be included when Trash Panic gets an European release this spring.
It’s finally here boys and girls from Europe, Australia and New Zealand! The European PlayStation Blog went live today replacing the excellent and much-loved ’semi-official’ ThreeSpeech.
The North American blog first hit the internet back in 2007 and now we have a fully licenced European counter-part.
So what can we expect from the blog?
We continue our worldwide trek today with the next stop of the PS Store Express; Hong Kong.
LittleBigPlanet continues to dominate the content in this store with the 2000AD costume pack. Savage Moon gets a demo today like it did back in May 7th in EU/NA and MotorStorm II gets another livery pack (same as MotorStorm 2, just more Roman).
Good morning PlayStation fans. Today is Thursday, time for some light calisthenics and the beginning of our weekly PS Store round up. First up, Japan.
As you may have come to expect from the Japanese PS Store, PSone classics for your PS3 or PSP are always here sometimes. Today we got three of them. On the LBP front, we have the 2000AD costume pack, Judge Dredd and all.
It’s Thursday, and it’s time for another Homerun, the weekly run-through of whats happening in and around the world of PlayStation Home.
There are a few good things to talk about so let’s go straight into it ok?
We’re really looking forward to Trine as, whether it’s down to its gorgeous colours and fantastical aesthetic or the fact that co-operative play forms such a big part of the core gameplay, it’s swiftly becoming an instant “must have” on our (ever growing) list.
While the magus Amadeus possesses an arsenal of spells and other arcane wonders like the ability to create objects, and Pontius, the Warrior, is obviously the strongest and most physically imposing of the trio, it’s Zoya, the archer-thief of the piece, who is gifted with probably the game’s most powerful virtue – the ability to manipulate time.
It’s tweak time for the Killzone 2 community as Eric Boltjes, Guerrilla’s Lead Multiplayer Designer, talks to the Official US Blog about what Helghan and ISA soldiers alike can expect from the latest update.
Showing an unrivaled commitment to keeping their groundbreaking game as fresh and fair as possible, Guerilla have more than a few important fine-tunings up their electronic sleeves.
‘Droplitz’ is a new puzzle-based game from Atlus which sees the player tasked with trying to save as many drops of liquid as possible. Several game modes are promised to ensure variety and Atlus are hoping to steal the puzzler crown when the title hits the PSN. Does Droplitz have what it takes, or is it another damp squid?
Sounds like a lot of you are interested in PlayStation Home, as it has been confirmed that downloads of the service have now surpassed 6.5 million.
Speaking to gameindustry.biz, Peter Edward, director of the PlayStation Home Platform Group, talked about the online world and he certainly made no effort in downplaying these figures, which amount to around 30% of all PS3 owners.
Back in December when Crash Commando was released, we mentioned that we would inform you when the demo was made available. Well, that day has finally come because tomorrow, fans will be able to download it off the PlayStation Store. That’s not all though, as the game is getting some enhancements as well and the promise of more to come.
The North American Video Store has sported a ‘Search’ feature ever since its debut at last year’s E3.
Strangely, Sony has never decided to add the feature to the game front of the PlayStation Store in an effort to help sort through the ever-growing list of demos, trailers and wallpapers – well until now that is.
