We knew it was coming, we just didn’t know it was going to look this good.  Or get so much mud on our windshields.  But we don’t care really; not when it looks this good.

Go into the Codemasters Racing Studio for a first look of Colin McRae: DiRT 2.  With DiRT already in the name, what happens when new water technology comes into play?  Mud, beautiful HD mud.

First off is the new particle system that allows for different effects when driving on the many road types available.  Next we see the water effects in motion, how water affects your car, your race and your windshield.  Mud.

Next stop is the audio department which already good in DiRT, was improved upon in DiRT 2.  Handling tweaks, racing packs, tire/road response, and realistic lighting models are discussed in the tour so get busy watching.
