EU PlayStation Store gets Search feature

Submitted by on Wednesday, 27 May 2009No Comment

ps-storeThe North American Video Store has sported a ‘Search’ feature ever since its debut at last year’s E3.

Strangely, Sony has never decided to add the feature to the game front of the PlayStation Store in an effort to help sort through the ever-growing list of demos, trailers and wallpapers – well until now that is.

The search feature has magically appeared on the European PlayStation Store without any announcement coming from Sony.

It may sound like a minor addition but it’s actually extremely useful as it can often be a lengthy task to find exactly what you’re looking for as you cycle through the various menus.

So now, for instance, if you want to find the recent Killzone 2 Steel and Titanium pack, you can just select the ‘Search’ button in the top right-hand corner and type in ‘Killzone’. A list of results are shown and you can choose which one is relevant to you.

Hopefully SCEA will take notice and give North American gamers the helpful feature so that they don’t feel left out and start making giant banners to protest with outside Sony’s headquarters.
