Life with PlayStation, Sony’s dynamic multi-channel content provider was updated today to v1.1.  This update adds a number of features and enhancements, including a brand new channel and an expert mode for Folding@home.

United Village is joining the LIVE and Folding@home channels in what appears to be the first of many new channels to come to Sony’s expanding philanthropic service.

United Village is a project designed to provide an experience of sharing a sense of community and culture from locations around the world.  You will find articles from all over the world featuring “a visual series of moments and aspects of life from various locations.”

Update v1.1 changes:

• Added support for adding and removing channels dynamically.
• Added local time display in the LIVE CHANNEL.
• Updated Mood categories for automatic music selection.
• Added support to enable Folding@home Expert Mode which disables all others channels and features that may impact simulation performance.  Folding@home Expert Mode can be activated by navigating to: Options Menu > [Configuration] > [Folding@home]
