New(ish) Uncharted 2 single player footage
While the multiplayer element is obviously welcomed with open arms, fans of the first Uncharted who have been patiently waiting for a new Drake adventure were doing so before the concept of running around shooting your friends as Elena was possible. We just wanted one simple thing: more single-player action.
If you’re already convinced Uncharted 2 will be the paragon of non-stop thrill-a-minute wise-cracking fun and don’t need to see any footage to tide you over until its release later this year, or if you simply wish to remain totally spoiler free, you may want to skip the next video.
For the rest of us, get ready for more Drake, more explosions and more quips as we get a HD look at what, for some, should be strangely familiar.
Yes indeed, if you’re experiencing deja-vu when watching this footage, don’t fret – it’s because this is pretty much the same video that emerged out of GDC09 this year via the wonders of shakey-cam.
Thanks to this higher quality video however, we can now see just how intricate the level of details is. You’ll witness some new close-quarter combat as well as more fluid animations since the last game. Also, and it’s a small point, clocking someone in the jaw with a haymaker now results in blood realistically spewing out of their mouths. It’s the small things that make us happy around here.
