After exclusively announcing the impending arrival of Inferno Pool on the PSN last month, followed by this week’s “comical” hands-on video, it was only natural for us to sit down with the creators of the game and find out more.
The inaugural title from brand new development studio Dark Energy Digital, we were eager to not only get a better look at the upcoming chaotic “pool party” title but also some background surrounding the emergence of a new player in the digital distribution arena.
Luckily for us, Rob Hewson, Senior Creative Designer at Dark Digital, was more than happy to oblige.
Having gotten over our niggling hangup about Demon’s Souls grammatically ambiguous title (just about), we’ve waited patiently for news of an English version to grace our shores.
Patience is a virtue they say, and it looks to have finaly paid off, with GamingUnion announcing that Atlus will publish the Japanese RPG in North America this fall.
Dead to Rights:Retribution – technically the fifith title in Namco Bandai’s Dead to Rights franchise – is coming to the PS3 in the last quarter of the year.
Whilst previous games have garnered mixed verdicts, there is something that makes us cautiously optomisitc about this release.
Maybe is has something to do with the flurry of media that was released about the game today.
What happens when you take two iconic PlayStation characters and combine them together? A LittleBigPlanet Ratchet and Clank Pack of course!
It was first announced unofficially if you like via the @insomniacgames twitter page on Tuesday, but now Sony have confirmed to Eurogamer that it is in fact true.
Promising to bring the “fun” back to the racing genre, Bizarre Creations have released a teaser trailer over at C&VG for their upcoming racer Blur.
The footage is a mere shiny precursor of what the game will offer and shows off just one of the fantastical weapons available to players as they quest to beat the clock and – more importantly – the opposition.
Killzone 2 fans rejoice! A new map pack has been announced today, and something tells us this one is a little bit special.
Hinted at back when the Steel & Titanium pack was launched (when Herman Hulst, Guerilla Games’ Marketing Manager, told us the next DLC would be ‘retro’), the Flash & Thunder pack contains two maps taken from the original Killzone game on the PS2.
But what’s this we see in the launch video? Is that a nuke?
We’ll keep this brief as it’s likely you won’t even read these words, too busy simply drooling at the accompanying image. We could pretty much say anything we want now, couldn’t we?
Back on point. Thanks to our friends over at Sega, we have the following screenshot of the new Aliens Vs. Predator game.
It’s really turning out to be a week of “megaton” reveals.
With yesterday’s news of Fallout 3 DLC coming to the PS3 first to shake the foundations of fanboydom, we now have footage from arguably the most secretive “in development” PS3 title right now – Team Ico’s next game – leaked on to the web.
We love princesses here at PS3 Attitude, the fatter the better. Unless we have to carry them; in that case we hide the magical cake and break out the not-so-magical hand truck.
Bur never mind that, our friends at the PlayStation.Blog have shared with us a delicious bit of cake. Or crumpet if you like. Or video if you are being a pain about it.
All of us here at PS3 Attitude Towers are huge fans of zombie games. We enjoy shooting them in the head, burning them, or just going on a zombie killing spree. We also now have a little more information on the upcoming Zombie Apocalypse than just a few screenshots.
At EIF08 we revealed that there were plans to introduce celebrity levels into the LBP universe. Well, nine months later, and we have the first details of how this will all play out.
The best news? It all kicks off this Friday with the new level area ‘The Patch’.
But what exactly will you find there?
It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from Realtime Worlds’ regarding potential GTA killer APB, or All Points Bulletin if you’re down with that whole law-enforcement lingo.
Popping up over at the APB Game Community site APB Evolved, the shadowy “Ulric” (also known as Realtime Worlds’ Community Manager Chris Dye) has bestowed a new screenshot of the sandbox crime MMO currently in development.
Ubisoft today announced they are giving away a phenomenal prize to celebrate the forthcoming FPS title, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood.
The prize? An incredible 16Gb iPod Touch, coated with luxurious 24-carat gold and worth a small fortune.
So how do you get your hands on this beauty?
It took a while but here it is at last. The previously Xbox 360 exclusive Fallout 3 downloadable content is coming to the PlayStation Network. Starting with Operation: Anchorage in late June, Fallout 3 fans will receive every previously released Fallout 3 DLC.
In order to get Fallout 3 DLC ready, a new update will be released for the PlayStation 3 version. On top of all this, Bethesda Softworks announced two brand new DLCs for all three platforms.
What better way to highlight Inferno Pool’s competitive nature than some actual footage epitomising the spirit and utter geekiness of what happens when grown men gather around a console, talk smack and try to better their fellow man in a tribal contest. What this new footage shows (apart from four guys goofing around) is just how Inferno Pool’s vindictive nature can surface in an instant.
With a final PSN demo due this Thursday (we say final because we’ve already played two different versions over the last few weeks), Asad Qizilbash, SCEA’s Marketing Manager, has revealed on the official PS blog that the game will be getting a thirty second spot attached to the new Terminator Salvation movie from May 22nd to May 28th across the US.
And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a four page comic to tide you over before its release in eight days.
It is Tuesday, and you know what that means, don’t you?
Yes, today and repeating every Tuesday, PS3 Attitude is becoming PSFree Attitude.
So as usual we’ll be giving away all sorts of freebies to our loyal Twitter followers every week with prizes ranging from PSN codes for new games and DLC to physical swag that we have here at Attitude Towers.
Edinburgh Interactive Festival today announced that Peter Moore, President of EA Sports, will deliver the keynote address for this year’s Conference.
It is expected that Moore will focus his session on the challenge of reinventing the iconic sports game brand.
Alice Cooper is making his Rock Band debut this week and we don’t even have the proper face paint to honor this momentous occasion. Who is Alice Cooper you ask? UrbanDictionary.com has him as “One of the greatest rock artists ever who only stupid people havn’t [sic] heard of.” We have to agree.
As far as Taking Back Sunday goes; sorry boys, you are not worthy.
