Tomb Raider: Underworld goes Platinum; gets Trophies
We’ll skip the obvious part where we hark on about that article and stick to the welcomed news that, as of today, Lara Croft’s latest adventure, Tomb Raider: Underworld, is now a Platinum title.
At a discounted price of £19.99 / €24.99 (TBC), and taking into account that it was actually greeted with mostly favourable reviews, if you have yet to take the new and improved Lara out for an endangered species culling spin, now would be an opportune time to do so.
With the new Tomb Raider movie stated as being a reboot and to feature a younger Lara, we’re thinking the next game in the series will logically follow the same path, so – take this as your last opportunity to play with a mature and “fully-formed” Ms. Croft.
No news at this time as whether or not the North American budget series equivalent “Greatest Hits” will also find a new member in the form of a svelte English grave-robber but – as always – we’ll keep an eye out.
Finally, thanks to our friends over at VG247, we can also report that the game will finally see the inclusion of Trophies as part of a patch on May 28th. Reduced price and trophies? Not even Danny could pass this up.
