We have to go back to the island. Burnout’s Big Surf opens this Thursday
Welcome back. You're a regular here, so why not follow us on Twitter too...
If you’ve been desperate for some new Burnout Paradise high-jinks, you probably already know that, this Thursday, the spectacle we know simply as Big Surf is finally opening up to members of the public.
The island is a veritable playground of super drifts and mammoth jumps and, not that the insignificant matter of price should matter but, we’ve got that too.
Depending on your region of choice, Big Surf Island’s entry fee will cost you $12.99 / €12.99 or £9.99. We may lament the old days of free Burnout goodies but we have to admit that the paid content form Criterion Games is well worth the coin.
Are you burning up some more rubber this Thursday in Big Surf? Let us know in the comments.

Haha, I love the Lost reference!
It has to be said that this is going to be the best value for money dlc available for any game so far. I love you Criterion!
still need to finish exploring the first island
£10 you say? Might be time to me to dust off the ol’ Inferno van..
I really want to play this, but feel Criterion have had their pricing wrong thus far. I need to read a bit more about this before I can decide on a purchase.
I skipped most of the previous DLC (Toys/Party)mainly because of the pricing, but I will be getting this.
I got the Legendary cars pack, 1 toy car and the toy bike. Not brought anything since. Let me know what the island is like once you have had a play. I may yet get it.
I have been waiting for this DLC all year, i cant wait till about 5.00pm on thursday for the PS store to update with it.
Been so busy with KZ2, R2, and now Infamous. I’m running out of time for all this.
I loved Burnout. I first came across it at a Motor Show stand at the Excel centre a couple of years back. then bought it as soon as it came out for the Grill.
This might just tempt me away from Empire City for a couple of hours tonight.
I have yet to pick this baby up (Burnout not the pack) I am probably just going to buy it if i see it when im out and about.
Highly recommend it if you like your arcade racers – it’s a _lot_ of fun, without the paid DLC (which, admittedly, is a bit hit-and-miss, some of the paid cars were a dash overpriced, but I’ve picked up everything other than Cops and Robbers as it’s still all damn good fun and, on balance, I’ve done alright out of Criterion’s latest
). Will pick this up sometime this weekend and see how it shakes down
.
Curse you guys. Im getting so tempted to get this.
