E3 09; Edge of Twilight Trailer

eot E3 09; Edge of Twilight TrailerSteampunk fantasy: we can never get enough.

Thankfully, the team over at Fuzzyeyes are working day and night [you'll get the reference soon] to bring us the incredible Edge of Twilight.

The fantasy world is shaping up to be something spectacular, and should tick all the right boxes for both steampunk enthusiasts and gamers looking for a different sort of hack-’n’-slash platformer to get their teeth into.

We have managed to get hold of the new trailer for your delectation, in which hero Lex gets choppy with the bad guys.

Edge of Twilight is set in a post-apocalyptic world, shattered and divided by an event called ‘the Rift’. This catastrophe split the world into two states – day and night. [Get the reference now?]

Not only is the physical world divided, the peoples of the world are segretated into factions – the Atherns and the Lithern. The root of the separation centred around a dispute over a huge energy source which resulted in the Lithern being held captive.

The Lithern were all then apparently killed in an act of mass genocide.

Gamers take on the role of bounty hunter Lex, the only remaining ‘halfbreed’ in the world. This, uniquely, gives him the ability to travel between both the Night and Day realms.

Having now seen the latest trailer, we are certainly curious about how this game will play out. There are many opportunities for the story to twist and branch, and the gameplay mechanics will hopefully bring new ideas to the table.

So is this steampunk slasher an awesome metal behemoth or just a lot of hot air?
