i was really pleased with this update when i went on the PStore recently, couldn’t belive how good vidzone actually was, and i tried the overlord 2 demo also, but i wasn’t as impressed with that, i found it to be a little boring and dated.
We’ll have our impressions of Vidzone on the site very soon.
I hope the Vidzone or something like it comes to the US. I won’t complain though because we do have the video portion of the PS Store. Which I find my self using more and more. I’m even considering canceling my mail subscription with Blockbuster.
Loving Vidzone. A very nice addition the the PS3 arsenal. Only slight issue i’ve had with it so far, is that I burned through 3 gig of my download limit in the first day of using it!
they have a download limit on vidzone??
I think he’s referring to his download limit for his internet connection. I have one too.
I’m so glad that they don’t have download limits here in the states. (Although some ISPs have considered it.)
I stand corrected. I did some googling and it looks like Comcast may have a 250GB monthly limit. (It’s better than 3
)
oh right, yea that makes more sense, far as i know i dont have a download limit here, not that i download anything either.
Given the size of movie downloads (especially those in HD)and the size of game/demo downloads. You can see how easy it is for those with caps to quickly reach/exceed them. The positive reviews I’ve heard of the Vidzone are probably only going to make things worse for them.
I am indeed referring to the download limit of my net connection.
Haha, Sky (my ISP) are having a go at me saying i’m reaching my download limit of 40gb… They can’t even prove it!
VidZone is awesome i love its the best thing since trophies.
The burnout island is great value for money and its a great edition to the game
I will pick up the Killzone maps when i get back into Killzone.
@LCaruana
I don’t think he has a 3GB limit, that would be crazy. Most likely he has a 10GB one which is most common.
I still think 10 is crazy
I could go through that in a week or two. Not including the bandwidth my wife uses. What’s the reason for such low caps? Infrastructure? Maybe it’s a good thing the PS Video store isn’t available in Europe.
We get scammed….
It certainly seems it. I’d be a pretty unhappy person if my ISP decided to put caps on bandwidth.
@wholese @LCaruana
This time last year my monthly download limit was just 5GB. However at the end of July last year, I negotiated an increased to 20GB and a reduction in price as well.
I tend to end most months 15GB to 17GB so its just about right. However this month with watching streaming E3 and using Vidzone, plus downloading a couple of big demo’s from the store and im around 15GB at only halfway into the month!
Think I may switch ISP end of July when the contract ends, as I can now get unlimited for a slightly cheaper price.
That’s funny because up until a few months ago I had a 5GB but when I threatened to leave they gave me a 20GB one.
Hmmm. Maybe you are with the same ISP as me. The next tier with my guys is 50GB. I wonder if I will get offered that when I look to move.
I’m with Waitrose. Never heard about a 50GB though.
Hmm. I can’t actually reply to your last comment whoelse, hence this will be out of sequence.
Im with Madasafish, which when I signed up with them were under the Brightview ISP group, as per Waitrose at that time. My ISP were a bit cheaper, not a supermarket, and I had previous dial up experience with them.
