Max Payne 3: The Fall Of Personal Hygiene

Welcome back. You're a regular here, so why not follow us on Twitter too...

Max Payne is many things. Wronged cop, verbose time-bending cynic, once a member of New Kids on the Block. What we haven’t associated with the tragic trigger-happy character however is grime of a more personal nature. Time to re-evalute your impression of Mr. Payne then as, if Game Informer’s new images are anything to go by, prepare to witness the ultimate descent of a man – no longer stripped of just his hope and morality – but also of deodourant and common dress-sense.
We have to admit that we’re conflicted over Max’s new look. On the one hand, he looks like a super bad-ass; a mix of Bruce Willis, Jeff Bridges’ Obadiah Stane from Iron Man and Zangief from Street Fighter II. But what of old dapper Max with his leather jacket and cocked eyebrows? We kinda liked the fact that Max wasn’t your typical muscle-engorged nutter.
As we know clicking is at a premium at the moment, we’ve embedded GameTrailer’s slideshow of the new images rather than create a gallery. Galleries don’t create themselves so we admit this is the slighly (?) lazy option.
Old bitter Max or New Mad Max? Have your say in the comments. That’s what it’s there for.

I’m very disappointed with these new images. You should be able to recognise Max Payne just by looking at him, and now he just looks average in my opinion. Also, what’s with the sunny local? So far this is not looking how I would expect for a Max Payne game, and I loved the first 2.
