We are big fans of LittleBigPlanet as you may well know, so we were delighted when Sony announced at their E3 conference that a new game in their Play, Create, Share range was in the works calls ModNation Racers.

ModNation racers is a racing game with a twist: You design the race track. With a customisable monkey, you can create your own dream race track complete with hills, lakes, trees, and even sheep.

The team from United Front Games have written a post at the US PlayStation Blog to finally talk about the game that they have been so desperate to share with the world.

They say that for them, it is a game that they always “dreamt of creating”. It’s designed to be a fresh take on the kart game, being a real pick up and play game with the “depth and handling of a classic racer”. 

The game is about “creativity and expression”, giving users the ability to create what they want without making it feel like working over playing.

We can see this game being a real hit as compared to LittleBigPlanet, almost anyone can create a kart, character or track and share it with the world. For this reason we really CANNOT WAIT till when this game hits sometime next year.
