SingStar – new features announced

Submitted by on Saturday, 6 June 20092 Comments

singstarSingStar – the party game we know and love – is having some work done.

Not in the awful, stretched plastic way so many well-known celebrities have had; rather in an ongoing, continuous-refinement sort of way.

There are new online features of the game under development which – come September – will make the SingStar community an even more interactive and exciting place.

We know – how is this possible when the SingStar online aspect is already so good?

Ok, so maybe that wasn’t your initial thought. But we guarantee that these new features will make a massive difference to the way you use the online services within the game.

First off, the video recording feature is getting an overhaul. Once added, the update will let you select your favourite thirty second clip from your performance and add swooshy video effects to really make your latest Lady GaGa rendition stand out.

Secondly, were are getting SingStar Clubs. This is a new addition to the community aspect of the game, as you will be able to have a SingStar ‘Club’, consisting of you and your vocally adept/inept friends. Not only that, you will be able to compare your performances against other clubs across the community.

The recent news that we are getting SingStar Take That and SingStar Motown before long combined with this news about the above online improvements, SingStar is really limbering up to take the PS3 community by storm over the next six months.

Frankly, we can’t wait.
