Sleeper hit in waiting: Just Cause 2
Alavanche Studio’s Just Cause did exactly what it said on the tin.
Sure, the game-play was a little repetitive, and it would be something of an understatement to say it didn’t have its fair share of glitches, but if you’re looking for a shoot-things-and-feel-better-about-it run-around, you can’t go far wrong.
News of a sequel came as little surprise; especially considering sandbox games are all the rage at the moment, with Just Cause 2 generating significant buzz at this year’s E3.
The footage below is a developer walk-through courtesy of Kotaku. We think you’ll agree that the lush graphics, innovative game-play and, always a firm favourite, awesome explosions should result in Just Cause 2 suddenly appearing on your game radar.
A final thought: with the opening sky-dive feat and the lunge-like crappling hook mechanic; is anyone else getting a weird X-Men: Origins Wolverine vibe off this? Not necessarily a bad thing of course.
