The Punisher: No Mercy Trailer

Welcome back. You're a regular here, so why not follow us on Twitter too...

The Punisher: No Mercy TrailerThis July sees the arrival of one of a select few First Person Shooters to the PSN.

Coming out shooting, The Punisher: No Mercy will see players taking up the role of ol’ Skull Chest himself as well as a host of well-known allies and villains from Marvel’s Punisher universe.

We are getting excited about this one, and you can see why that is in this trailer that was released over the weekend.

The game – built on the Unreal Engine 3 – will feature up to eight player online multiplayer in some new and familiar locations, as well as a stand alone single player campaign. Not only that, but famous Marvel artist Mike Deodato has provided unique artwork for the solo campaign.

Also featured will be a system of mods – or ‘perks’ if you’re a CoD nut – which will alter the gameplay to suit your particular style of play. With passive mods including more armour and motion sensitivity for detecting other players, and time-limited active mods such as invulnerability and invincibility, there is plenty of scope for customization.

We have no idea what price this game will come in at, but doubtless it will be around the ten pound/fifteen dollar/fifteen euro mark. And at that cost, the game may well be worth a fistful of notes when it hits virtual shelves next month.

For now, have a look at the trailer and let us know your thoughts.
