Submitted by on Monday, 13 July 20094 Comments

Fallout 3 DLCWe knew that the ex-exclusive Xbox 360 Fallout 3 DLC would come to the PS3 eventually and when Bethesda announced Operation: Anchorage and more, we couldn’t help but get excited.

We now have a clearer update as to when exactly these expansions will be coming to the PSN thanks to Ashley Cheng over at the PlayStation.Blog. While all five DLC packs will make it to the system, Broken Steel will have the honor of being the first.

While June came and went without any Fallout 3 DLC, we are assured that the team are doing the best they can to get the content to the fans. So when can we expect to see it now? According to Ashley, September.

Broken Steel, being the most reqested of the DLC, will be the first to come with the others following close behind. The pack extends gamplay by 4-6 hours as well as raises the level cap to 30.  Up next on the list of release is Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt. Below are the juicy details regarding each DLC…

  • Operation: Anchorage – Enter a military simulation and fight in one of the greatest battles of the Fallout universe – the liberation of Anchorage, Alaska from its Chinese Communist invaders.
  • The Pitt – Journey to the industrial raider town called The Pitt, located in the remains of Pittsburgh and choose sides in the battle between the slaves and the slavers.
  • Broken Steel – Join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all. Continues the adventure past the main quest and raises the game’s level cap to 30.
  • Point Lookout – Explore a massive new swampland area filled with new quests and content.
  • Mothership Zeta – The aliens have returned, and they’re pissed. Experience an alien abduction first hand and find out if you’re tough enough to survive.

Not only will players be able to explore these new areas, but more creatures, weapons, loot, and equipment will become available with them as well, not to mention the additional trophies you can acquire.

With Fallout 3 already touting over 100 hours of gameplay, these DLC packs are sure to keep us busy for quite some time.
