Final Fantasy II hits Japanese PSN
With Final Fantasy (note: no roman numerals here) appearing on the Japanese Store a couple of weeks ago, and its spritely sequel popping up yesterday, it would appear that Square Enix plan on releasing as many of the classic Final Fantasy games as possible on the PSN.
As with the first Final Fantasy re-release, the sequel has been given a tidy up and a fancy new CGI intro. Which, though welcomed, only makes the transition from lush dazzling visuals to blocky sprites all the more jarring if you ask us.
Considering the knock-down price of ¥600 however, who are we to complain? The question now is: will Square Enix manage to release the remaining Final Fantasy catalogue on the PSN before FFXIII arrives?
No news on an English translation of either of the atavistic RPGs but, we live in hope.
