Kaz Hirai to take on Keynote speech at TGS
The Tokyo Game Show is around two months away and is one of the major conventions on the gaming calendar.
Every year a senior industry figure gives the main keynote speech and this time around it is none other than Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Kaz Hirai.
Keynote speeches can often be a platform for new and exclusive announcements and we hope this one is no exception. His speech is entitled ‘Sony Computer Entertainment’s New 2009 Strategy’, which is interesting in itself since the year will almost be over by the time he speaks!
The Tokyo Game Show is on from the 24th to the 27th of September and all eyes will focus on what Sony could possibly reveal for the last three months of the year. Of course, they may be talking about their ‘fiscal 2009′, which suggests that the announcements made will be effective until the end of March 2010.
No doubt there will be a lot of speculation to what plans Kaz Hirai and Sony have up their sleeves, and the Internet is bound to buzz with suggestions of price cuts, slim PS3s and new games, but we will just have to wait and see for ourselves. No doubt Michael Pachter will announce everything that is going to happen within the next week, and he’ll be as accurate as ever.
What do you think will be announced? Let us know in the comments.
